"One of the best dog photo shoots ever! Fido Foto dealt with my shy dog really well. I was very impressed. There's a reason they are listed as the top pet photographer in Toronto." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why Senior Dogs?

Capturing photos of our senior dogs is not just about preserving memories; it's also about celebrating the joy they bring into our lives. Just like with humans, our pets age, and having photographs of them as seniors allows us to cherish precious moments and reflect on the journey they've taken by our side. Each gray hair and gentle gaze tells a story of loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love, reminding us of the countless moments of joy they've brought us throughout the years.

These images serve as lasting reminders of the bond we share with our senior dogs and the immeasurable happiness they continue to bring into our lives, even in their golden years.

Testimonial

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I had such an amazing experience with Fido Foto, they were super patient with our senior dog. We reached out a few days before our dog needed to be euthanized, and Fido Foto captured the best pictures/ memories with our dog on her last day on earth.“

FAQ

Where is the studio located?

The photo session takes place in our dog friendly studio located by Little Italy, in downtown Toronto.

Our clients come from all over the GTA including Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Thornhill and Scarborough.

What happens during the photo session?

We will meet you and your dog out front when you arrive at the studio. In the studio, your dog will probably be excited and want to sniff around. We learn a little more about your dog's personality and motivations. We slowly introduce the photography equipment to your dog while giving out treats. We then start the photos using toys, treats and noisemakers to get the best photos.

We capture many dynamic poses and a multitude of expressions. During the session, we shoot tethered to a computer so you get to preview the photos in real time. At the end of the session, we preview some of our fine art pieces..

Why do you require a reservation fee for a complimentary photo session?

Unfortunately, in the past, we had issues with last-minute cancellations and no-shows for complimentary sessions. To secure your spot, we now ask for a $99 refundable reservation fee. It's fully refundable if you keep your photo session and Zoom ordering session appointment, or give us 7 days' notice to reschedule.

FAQ

What should I bring to my session?

Please bring an assortment of your dog's favourite treats and toys. You might also want a light jacket as we keep the studio at about 16 degrees to keep the dogs nice and comfortable.

My dog is shy and reactive. Can I still book a photo shoot?

We have loads of experience will all kinds of dogs. With shy and reactive dogs, we give them extra time to warm up and get settled into the new space before we start the photos. We have several techniques to help an anxious dog relax.

In very rare cases a dog may not be comfortable enough in the studio, in which case the shoot fee will be refunded.

Should I get my dog groomed before the photo shoot?

Each dog looks their best a certain number of days after a grooming appointment. I'd suggest taking the time period between the photo shoot and grooming appointment into account when booking your shoot.

If your dog has hair in front of its eyes, I'd highly recommend trimming this before coming in for your session. If requested, retouching hair from in front of eyes is available for an additional fee.

A brush out is a good idea for most dogs.
