Fido Foto is an in-demand portrait studio with a limited capacity based on our team’s ability to create beautiful portraits and art pieces for our clients. Consequently, we heavily rely on filling our appointment slots to sustain our operations. Missing an appointment significantly affects our business, and we kindly request your cooperation in honouring scheduled times. As a result, we require a confirmation fee to confirm and secure your photography session booking. Kindly note that weekends are in the highest demand and book out months in advance.

Paid Sessions or Voucher Purchased Sessions:

• For paid or discounted sessions or session voucher offers, the payment made directly to the studio is non-refundable after 72 hours of scheduling your session. You can reschedule your session two weeks or more before your session, or if less than two weeks, a $99 confirmation fee is required to reschedule.

Complimenatary Sessions:

• If you've been granted a complimentary session, the confirmation fee plays a critical role in preventing no-shows and last-minute cancellations. This practice enables Fido Foto to maintain its commitment to serving all clients with dedication and providing the highest standard of service. The reservation fee is refunded at your zoom ordering session.

Confirmation Fee:

• We charge a $99 confirmation fee to secure the agreed-upon date and time for your photo session and ordering session.
• Cancellation:
• If you cancel the session within the first 72 hours after paying the confirmation fee, it is fully refundable. 
• If you cancel (and do not reschedule) the session after 72 hours of paying the confirmation fee, the fee is converted to studio credit valid for one year.
• Reschedule appointments:
• If you reschedule your session with two or more weeks of notice, this will not affect your confirmation fee.
• If you reschedule within less than two weeks from your session date and time, the confirmation fee is converted to studio credit to use towards artwork.
• A second rescheduling will require a new $99 reservation fee.
• No Show:
• Failure to attend a photo session or ordering session results in an automatic conversion to a studio credit. An additional $99 reservation fee is required to rebook.

Photo Shoot Appointment:

•  Due to our booking schedule, please arrive on time for your session. If you are late, this will cut into your session time. If you are more than 20 minutes late for your appointment, the appointment will be cancelled and a full session fee will be required to reschedule your appointment at a new date/time.

Pets:

•  **** Please ensure pet(s) are groomed to your liking, are dry and are “photo ready” when they arrive for their session. Trim fur from around their eyes if needed. ****  

• Should your pet(s) come into heat, suffer from any illness or infectious disease, or have fleas, please advise ASAP and we will reschedule your session at no cost.

•  Please only bring the pet(s) booked into your session as listed in your questionnaire. If you wish to add additional animals after booking, please check if we have availability for this before your appointment. If time or circumstances do not permit extra pets, a new session time and date will be offered. Extra pet fees apply.

Ordering Appointment:

• One purchase appointment is allocated per photo session and this is your only buying opportunity. All decision-makers are required to be present. This session is usually scheduled within 2 weeks of your photo session (unless there’s an exceptional circumstance) and will take approximately 1 hour. Should a second purchase appointment be required, a fee of $195 per hour (min 1 hr) applies.

• Payment is required in full at your purchase appointment. All orders are final and we will immediately begin working on your order.

•  All orders will be printed at our favourite pro photo lab and take between 4 to 6 weeks. This time frame can be impacted by COVID-related delays and is approximate only. Orders will be shipped directly to you on completion. 

•  Standard image editing is included in your order. This includes background clean-up, removal of drool, darkening of cloudy eyes, and editing out small, shaved patches of fur if applicable - we call it magazine-worthy retouching. Advanced edits, including head swaps, are charged at $35/per image.

• Any images not ordered will be archived 30 days after the purchase appointment and only images ordered will be permanently held on file. Archived images require a $195 fee to retrieve and if a re-order purchase is made of $195 or more, the archiving fee can be converted to credit. Ordered images will be used should a replacement product ever be required. 

Image Usage

•  Images may not be used by clients for competitions, commercial marketing purposes, re-sold, or as reference material for artworks unless discussed with the photographer. If images are shared on social media they must not be altered in any way, must not have logos removed (if applicable), and must be credited to Fido Foto in all instances.

Liability

• Neither party shall be liable for any costs or damages due to delay or non-performance under this contract arising out of any cause or event beyond our control, including but not limited to Acts of God, fire, flood, explosion, earthquake, or other natural forces, war, civil unrest, accident, work stoppage, pandemic, power or other mechanical failure, governmental action, or communication disruption. When inclement weather is expected (heavy rain, storms or extreme cold) where it may be unsafe or unreasonable to conduct an outdoor photo session, I will reschedule your session at no cost. 

Standard Photography Release

• Image Use and Copyright:: By participating in a photo session you acknowledge and understand Fido Foto owns the legal copyright to the images taken and has the unrestricted right and permission to use, re-use, publish, and republish the photographic pet portraits taken, through any and all media known for illustration, art, sale, promotion or advertising. You also relinquish any right to examine or approve the completed product or or advertising copy or printed matter which may be used.
